It's considered by many to be the best tool of its kind, and has won five mice in MacUser and the 1996 MacUser/ZD Net Shareware Award in the Graphic and Multimedia Category. Animated GIFs can be displayed by Netscape 2.0 and later. They are based on the GIF89a standard, with an optional extension block defined by Netscape for looping. They can be served like any plain GIF; no need to change the http server settings, to add a CGI, to use an HTTP server, or anything else. GifBuilder is also scriptable and can be used with clip2gif to create animations from scratch. Changes since 0.4: - Color palette window, with drag'n'drop of palette files from and to the Finder - The global palette of GIF files can be loaded directly - Drag'n'drop of the animation as an HTML tag, a local URL or a GIF file - Revert To Saved + a bunch of cosmetic improvements and bug fixes.
